Peter Holbrook is the CEO of Social Enterprise UK
He is passionate about communities creating change through innovative pathways. He believes that social enterprise provides one of our very best hopes for social justice. Peter has established a network of award-winning social enterprises and was appointed as one of the UK's Social Enterprise Ambassadors in 2007.
Peter spoke at a breakfast hosted by the Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS) and Foresters Community Finance (Foresters) in Brisbane, on May 24, 2013 about rethinking financial resources and developing strategies for re-inventing social investment to ensure the survival of social enterprises..
Prior to joining SEUK, Peter was founding CEO of Sunlight Development Trust where he established a network of award winning social enterprises including event catering, community radio and property management to fund the services.
He's a member of the Government’s employee engagement taskforce, Chair of the Social Enterprise World Forum, and a board member of Big Society Trust overseeing the delivery of Big Society Capital. Peter has previously worked for Oxfam, Greenpeace, Marks & Spencer and Body Shop International..
